WHO ARE WE?

The Central Alabama Handbell Festival is held every year around the end of February/early March.
Our goal is to provide an educational event in a multi-choir environment.
We bring in nationally known clinicians to lead our events.

Member choirs of HMA (the Guild) are eligible to participate. The Guild of English Handbell Ringers is now known as Handbell Musicians of America. If you or your church are not already a member of HMA,
please go to handbellmusicians.org to become a member.

CAHF 2025 GENERAL INFORMATION
Friday, February 28th & Saturday, March 1st

Directors should purchase music and rehearse sufficiently to ensure that your choir knows the music prior to the festival. Well rehearsed music allows us to fully utilize the musicianship skills of the clinician.

We hold our festivals at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Bessemer, AL. Go to the DIRECTIONS page for a map showing the address of the church. Lunch on Saturday will be on your own. There are a number of fast food restaurants in the immediate area of the church or you may bring a lunch.

Each choir is asked to help with refreshments. You will receive refreshment details closer to event date.

Remember to bring your own music, stands, pads, covers, mallets, gloves, chimes, and Bells!

As in the past, there will be a FREE CONCERT at 3:00 on Saturday that will be open to the public.

CAHF 2024 is endorsed by Handbell Musicians of America and is dedicated to uniting people through the musical art of handbell and handchime ringing.
